Change of address - how do I change the delivery address of my subscription?
If you wish to change the delivery address of your subscription, please log on to 'My Account', then select the 'Address Change' option. Alternatively please contact Customer Services. Please allow up to 4 weeks for an address change to become effective.

Typical delivery times:

Magazines are printed and distributed on the Wednesday prior to the cover date. The delivery times are based on the distribution network for individual countries.

First issue - when will I receive it?
New orders are processed within 2 days and magazine mailing labels are printed 14 days in advance of the cover date. Once your first copy is placed into the distribution network it can take up to an additional 21 days before you receive your first issue. See Delivery Times.

Missing or damaged issue - how do I claim it?
If you have not received an issue or the copy arrived damaged, please log on to 'My Account', and select, Missing/Damaged Copy, to claim a back issue. Alternatively please contact Customer Services.
A replacement will be dispatched with 7 working days.

My Subscription Account - how do I log in?
To log on to your account, please enter your account details in the 'My Account' option.Your account details are your 'Subscription Account No', as it appears on your magazine when it is delivered, and your email address.

Payment Requests - why do I continue to receive renewal advice / invoices for a bill I have paid?
New Scientist subscription files are maintained through a computerised system, managed by a dedicated team. However, due to the long lead time required to process large numbers of orders and payments, you may receive an additional invoice after you have already sent your payment. If so please ignore this invoice, but if you receive a subsequent request for payment please let us know. We will correct the situation promptly.

What is Full Online Access?
The symbol indicates a subscription to New Scientist magazine is required in order to gain free Full Online Access to all articles, recent and archived ones, published on www.newscientist.com. Articles marked with the symbol are the very best from the world's leading science and technology news weekly and its online news service.

Articles are available at no extra cost to subscribers to the print edition of New Scientist, while non-subscribers can view a free excerpt.

Renew - how do I renew my subscription?
To renew your subscription and change your address in one transaction, please select the ‘Renew Subscription’ option in 'My Account', provided you do not wish to change the country details. To renew your subscription for delivery to another country please contact Customer Services.

School orders in the UK
To assist teachers with their science and technology lessons, New Scientist runs a special school scheme. Teachers can benefit from receiving copies of New Scientist to their school at half the normal cover price, (minimum quantity 5 copies per week) and change their order on a weekly basis if required. If a teacher orders 10 or more copies per week they will get an additional copy free of charge. For more information contact our Schools Scheme Administrator, tel. 01371 810433, email newscientist@esco.co.uk. This service is only available to UK schools.

Suspend Delivery - how do I suspend the delivery of my subscription?
It is possible to suspend delivery of your subscription for up to 6 weeks. If you wish to suspend the delivery of your subscription please visit 'My Account' and select 'Suspended Delivery'. Alternatively you can contact Customer Services. Please provide 4 weeks notice to guarantee suspension of your subscription.

At present we do not offer online only subscriptions, except in the USA and India. Why do I have to purchase a subscription to see an article? Why can’t I just purchase the article?
Unfortunately at present we do not offer paid per view articles. Should we be able to offer paid per view articles in the future and you would like to be informed about this opportunity, please email your name and email address to onlinesubs@newscientist.com and we will contact you with further details.

Can I subscribe to all paid content - Full Online Access- and not the magazine?
At the moment there are no plans for a web-only subscription. Subscriptions to NewScientist.com only are currently only available in the USA, Canada & India. Please contact us stating clearly your interest in such a service and we will keep your email address on file so that we can contact you in the event that such a subscription becomes available. We will not pass it on for any other reason. In the meantime, if a print subscription has difficulty reaching your region, or you wish to save a tree, you may like to try a subscription the Digital Edition. Subscription to the Digital Edition does not include access to paid content - Full Online Access.
